Dr. Xavier Emanueli, a founding member of Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), visits our center.

On Tuesday, May 30, 2023, Dr. Xavier EMMANUELLI, who was involved in the creation of Doctors Without Borders (1999 Nobel Peace Prize), SAMU SOCIAL, and served as Minister of Emergency Humanitarian Assistance in the administration of President Jacques Chirac visited Japan with members of the French Embassy. Dr. Emmanueli was concerned about the recent challenges faced by vulnerable groups in society, especially the elderly, and expressed strong interest in the work of Project CHANGE, which is being promoted by the Center as a core organization.

Through explanations and discussions by the project members, the participants deepened their understanding of the project's goal of "realization of a resilient, healthy, and long-lived society led by medical-industrial-governmental co-creation," and then visited the site where open innovation is being developed through industry-academia-government collaboration.

This visit was a valuable opportunity for us to promote this project more effectively, including expectations for the establishment of international partnerships.
