【Visitors in January】Kawasaki City Council General Affairs Committee, Healthcare Corporation Aoi Association / AOI International Hospital, and doctors from Mongolian National Trauma Center visited iCONM.
A friendly get together was held with Medtronic.
On Thursday, January 17, members from Kawasaki City Council General Affairs Committee visited iCONM. Director Mr. Miura introduced the challenge of Kawasaki Institute of Industrial Promotion to meet expectation of Kawasaki city. Dr. Kataoka Director-General gave outline of social implementation of research and its outcome. There was Q&A session between the lab. Tour and the members deepened their understanding for the center.

On Monday, January 21, Five members including R&D department of Medtronic Headquarters and three members from Japanese companies visited iCONM and held a friendly get together to exchange information.
Started with welcome greetings by Dr. Kimura COINS Project Leader and there was an introduction of business and cross - function initiatives from Medtronics. Dr. Kataoka Director-General gave introduction of iCONM and COINS, Prof. Ichiki from The University of Tokyo and Associate Professor Akira Matsumoto from Tokyo Medical and Dental University gave talk on their research. There was a very active discussion and exchange of information between the lab. Tour. We confirmed that we will continue to exchange and discuss the possibility of collaboration in the future. Medtronic got into the King SkyFront already.

On Tuesday, January 22, Kawasaki City Council General Affairs Committee, Healthcare Corporation Aoi Association / AOI International Hospital, and doctors from Mongolian National Trauma Center visited iCONM as study tour of Japan’s frontier medical treatment. Mr. Iwasaki, Vice-Director gave introduction of iCONM and COINS followed by lab. Tour. While observing the difference between Mongolia and Japan's medical system, the visitors were very much interest in the laboratories.
