【Visitors in August】the members of Kawasaki City Elementary School Japan Social Study Research Association, Foundation for Biomedical Research and Innovation at Kobe, Ministry of Finance, Japan Budget Bureau, a student of Seiritsu Gakuen High School and Department of collaboration/cooperation with external institutions, AMED visited iCONM.
On Tuesday, August 6, the committee meeting of Kawasaki City Elementary School Japan Social Study Research Association was held at King SkyFront and 26 of primary school teachers visited iCONM as part of their study trip.
As the research of iCONM was introduced in “Kawasaki 2019” distributed as a supplementary reader in the social studies class, the teachers were very eager to listen to the outline of our center by Mr. Iwasaki, Deputy Director.
On Friday, August 9, three members including Mr. Nagata, Managing Director of Foundation for Biomedical Research and Innovation at Kobe visited iCONM as part of their King SkyFront study trip.
Mr. Miura, Director of Kawasaki Institute of Industrial Promotion gave talk about how we are committed as a foundation to meet the expectations of Kawasaki City, and afterwards Mr. Iwasaki, Vice Director of iCONM outlined the research conducting at iCONM. During the lab.tour, there were many questions asked about the facility and information was exchanged actively.

On Tuesday, August 20, Mr. Sekiguchi, Director for Budget and Mr. Nakazawa, Deputy Director for Budget from Ministry of Finance, Japan Budget Bureau visited iCONM as part of their King SkyFront study trip. First, Mr. Miura, Director of Kawasaki Institute of Industrial promotion explained the background of the establishment of iCONM and Prof. Kimura, COINS Project Leader introduced the outline of the program feature. Moreover, Mr. Iwasaki, Vice-Director of iCONM gave summary of the research conducting at iCONM and showed them around the building including the labs afterwards. So many questions were asked by the visitors beyond the schedule. It was a great opportunity for the visitors to understand our center and the research conducting here.

【Introducing research facility and Q&A scene】
On Friday, August 23, a student of Seiritsu Gakuen High School in Tokyo visited iCONM for an interview on our research. He said he was interested in polymer micelles and future utilization, therefore he has chosen our center. Mr. Iwasaki, Vice-Director explained about iCONM and the research conducting here. Mr. Iwasaki showed him our labs after the interview. The student was very eager to ask questions which he prepared carefully in advance and it was very impressive that he was taking notes not to miss even an answer.
