Kawasaki City celebrated its 100th anniversary on July 1 and held a commemorative ceremony on the same day. A total of 228 individuals and groups, who have contributed to the development of the city and are expected to continue their outstanding work, were honored. Among them, Prof. Kazunori Kataoka, Center Director of iCONM, was presented with a certificate and a commemorative plaque by Mayor Norihiko Fukuda for his contributions to the field of industrial promotion.

As the Center Director of iCONM, a core institution of King Skyfront, Prof. Kataoka has been promoting various projects based in the coastal area of Kawasaki City, aiming to realize a smart life care society in collaboration with universities and companies both domestically and internationally. His achievements have been widely reported in the media, significantly contributing to the increased recognition of King Skyfront and the industrial promotion in Kawasaki City.
