Research Outline

Messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines have shown high efficacy against novel coronavirus infections and are being administered worldwide. This success has led to the development of mRNA as a vaccine and medicine in various fields, such as the prevention of various infectious diseases, immunotherapy for cancer, treatment of genetic diseases, genome editing, and regenerative medicine. mRNA vaccines and therapeutics must be protected from enzymatic degradation and foreign body recognition in the body. Our research efforts cover the entire process from developing systems for safe and efficient delivery of mRNA to target organs to vaccines against infectious diseases and cancer and applications in disease therapy. Furthermore, in collaboration with companies, we are working on the practical application of our results.
