India-Japan Webinar on Nanotechnology
On September 8, a science & technology symposium entitled as “India-Japan Webinar on Nanotechnology” was held by the Embassy of India in Tokyo in association with Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. Prof. Kazunori Kataoka (President of iCONM) gave a keynote remarks on “Engineering and realization of In-body hospitals” to the 190 audiences including industry experts, scientists and students from both countries. India is a start-up friendly country ranked as #5 (2019) and rapidly growing-up with the high young population (50% is below 25 years old). Especially, “nanotechnology” is a specialty and many innovations are emerging here. Mr. Sanjay Kumar Verma (Ambassador of India to Japan), Professor Ashutosh Sharma (Secretary General of DST), Mr. Masaharu Shiozaki (Deputy Director of MEXT), and Dr. Milind R. Kulkarni (Head of DST Nanotechnology Mission) were graced this webinar and delivered key note remarks on role of nanotechnology innovations in improving the quality of life. Dr. Mariko Tosu (CEO of Braizon Therapeutics, Inc.) also gave a lecture about the BBB penetration technology with Smart NanomachineĆ¢, that is our core technology. We believe this event triggers more active exchange between India and Japan in the field of “nanotechnology”.
