Prof. Kazunori Kataoka, Director General of iCONM, certified as a highly cited researcher for the 4th consecutive year

On November 18, Clarivate, a British company analyzes science to bring innovation to human life, named 6,167 research scientists who published top 1% cited scientific papers among the all published in the last decade. By country, the United States, which produced 41.5% (2,650 people) of the total, was the top. China with 12.1% (770 people) was the second. 91 people (1.4%) have been certified from Japan. Of the 21 fields defined by the ESI (Essential Science Indicator), which quantifies the impact of scientific papers, there were 2,439 cross field researchers (36 from Japan) who are involved in two or more fields, including Prof. Kazunori Kataoka, Director General of iCONM (Specially Appointed Professor, Institute for Future Initiatives, University of Tokyo). Prof. Kataoka has been awarded for the 4th consecutive year.
