Participants of “Kawasaki distributed Museum Lecture” and first grade students from Tokyo Metropolitan Science & Technology High School visited King SkyFront.

On Tuesday, November 3, “Kawasaki distributed Museum Lecter” organized by Kawasaki corporate and citizen exchange program Promotion Association and Kawasaki Ward office was held and 40 participants visited King SkyFront area under the theme of “What is mRNA vaccine of hot topic in the new coronavirus? ~The charm of King SkyFront~”.

Mr. Iwasaki, Vice-Director of iCONM gave presentation on the research project and presented the brief overview of the facility with virtual lab. tour instead of real lab. tour. Moreover, Dr. Satoshi Uchida, a principal research scientist gave talk on the theme “mRNA vaccine against new coronavirus and its development at iCONM”. It was indeed a great opportunity for Kawasaki citizens to understand our research contents.

On Friday, November 19, 205 First grade students and 12 teachers from Tokyo Metropolitan Science & Technology High School visited King SkyFront as a part of their field trip. In Tokyo Metropolitan Science & Technology High School, all the students above second grade are encouraged to decide on research themes and linking them to their dreams for the future. This visit was held to enhance the research of their subjects.

The participated students asked many questions such as: “Could cancer treatment with nanomachines shorten the time and frequency of treatment?” “Does an In-body Hospitals affect human immune system if it works inside the body?” “How long does the micelle shell unravel and how is it discharged?” “How to select medicine to be loaded in the In-body Hospitals?”

We look forward to having them join here as iCONM research scientists in the new future.
