Senzoku Gakuen High School students interact with iCONM researchers
On August 7th (Wednesday), iCONM showcased two projects: "You Too Can Be a Science Investigator" and "Experience the Clean Room."
In "You Too Can Be a Science Investigator," the children became science investigators to find the culprit who ate the pudding, using a declaration left at the crime scene as a clue. They analyzed pen ink using filter paper, and everyone successfully identified the culprit. They also learned about the mechanism of chromatography used in this process.
In "Experience the Clean Room," after receiving a lecture, the participants wore protective clothing and entered the clean room to observe microfabrication under a microscope.
It was very impressive to see the children engaging with science with serious expressions. We look forward to next year’s "Summer Science Event"!
