The 22nd Cross Cultural Event Held

On December 23, we hosted an online cross-cultural exchange event between foreign researchers and Japanese staff. This event targeted iCONM staff, facility users, and stakeholders from Kawasaki City and the Kawasaki Institute of Industrial Promotion (KIIP), aiming to effectively manage the organization’s rich diversity and leverage the innovative ideas that arise from it.

This time, Dede Sumiyati, a research support staff member from the Kataoka-Kina Lab, presented on her home region of West Java. She highlighted its role as a center of cultural diversity in Indonesia, showcasing its breathtaking mountains and lakes, Islamic mosques, traditional musical instruments, ethnic costumes, and captivating dances, as well as a variety of delicious foods. Although I have yet to try Indonesian cuisine, I feel inspired to give it a go!
