Kings SkyFront OPEN DAY Held
As part of the city's 100th anniversary celebrations, the Kings SkyFront OPEN DAY took place on March 26, 2025. This event is a tour and hands-on experience held in the Kawasaki Coastal Area. At iCONM, participants donned dust-proof suits and entered a clean room to observe finely processed materials under a microscope. Seventeen junior high school students and their parents attended, with the students getting suited up and taking an air shower before stepping into the clean room. The room was illuminated with yellow lights to block UV wavelengths, creating a unique, yellow-hued environment for lectures and observations that surely left a lasting impression.
While the parents stayed out of the clean room, they watched their children’s experiences from a separate room, listening to researchers' explanations. It was heartwarming to see the students emerge from the clean room, their eyes sparkling as they excitedly shared their experiences with their parents.
We hope that through events like this, participants will continue to connect with the cutting-edge technology at iCONM.
