Welcome and Farewell Ceremony for the Start of FY2025 Held
On April 10th, we held a welcome and farewell ceremony at iCONM for newly appointed staff and researchers, as well as foreign researchers returning to their home countries. We welcomed five individuals, including a visiting research scientist from UIC Barcelona in Spain who is returning home after completing their term, as well as two foreign researchers from Germany and Spain, enjoying interactions with current iCONM members. Dr. West Paraiso (visiting research scientist at iCONM), who is returning to his home country, reflected on his time at iCONM, expressing gratitude by saying, "I was fortunate to have many dear colleagues and spent happy days here" The five newly appointed members introduced themselves with humor, incorporating their hobbies, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere during the ceremony. Takumi Tsuchiya, who has joined the administration team and will be responsible for communications of iCONM/CHANGE, shared his aspirations for the future: "While placing importance on external communications, I will also value communications within the organization and do my utmost to contribute to building smooth relationships."
