Government Officials and Researchers from the Republic of Lithuania Visit iCONM
On June 11, six government officials (including vice-ministers of Health / Education, Sports and Science) and researchers (Hospitals, University) involved in healthcare, health, and science from the Republic of Lithuania visited iCONM, accompanied by a representative from their embassy in Japan.
The visit began with a welcome greeting by KIIP Executive Director Ogihara, followed by an introduction to iCONM by Dr. Nagai, Deputy Center Director, a presentation on nano DDS research by Dr. Kino, Principal Research Scientist, and an introduction to Project CHANGE by Dr. Shimazaki, Communications Manager. Research using nano molecules is also advancing in Lithuania, and given the country's rapid aging population, the discussion about iCONM/CHANGE seemed to have a significant impact. There were proposals for collaborative seminars to explore the possibilities of joint research in the future. After enjoying the facility tour, they left iCONM.
