Prof. Kazunori Kataoka, Director General of iCONM, certified as a highly cited researcher for the 5th consecutive year
On November 16th, Clarivate plc (UK), which analyzes science to deliver innovation to human life, announced that 6,602 Highly Cited Researchers (ca. 0.1% of all researchers of the world in 21 research fields) were recognized as the top 1% authors of all cited scientific papers published in the last decade. By country, the United States, which provided 39.7% (2,622 people) of the total, was the top. China with 14.2% (935 people) was the second. 89 people (1.3%) were recognized from Japan, and Prof. Kazunori Kataoka (Director General of iCONM, Emeritus Professor of the University of Tokyo) was certified again this year for the fifth consecutive year.
