Online Signing Ceremony Held for MoU with the University of Engineering Technologies of Turkmenistan named after OguzKhan
On Saturday, June 8, 2024, an online signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Innovation Center of NanoMedicine (iCONM) and the University of Engineering Technologies of Turkmenistan named after OguzKhan (ETUT) has held to promote cooperation in the fields of education and research.
The online signing ceremony took place in conjunction with the conference "Main Areas of Green Economics: Eco-, Nano-, Bio-, and Information Technologies" held in Turkmenistan on the same day. Representing ETUT, Rector Dr. Gurbanmyrat Mezilov participated, while iCONM was represented by Center Director Dr. Kazunori Kataoka at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Tokyo.
Our collaboration with ETUT dates to 2018, when we welcomed Rector Dr. Mezilov to our center. This relationship has deepened over the years. In 2022, we hosted two outstanding and motivated students from ETUT as interns at iCONM, integrating them into our research teams. This internship program not only strengthened our academic and personnel exchanges but also paved the way for the current MoU.
The ETUT, an esteemed educational institution established with contributions from Japan, plays a critical role in training specialized engineers and technologists. It is highly regarded both domestically and internationally. With the signing of this MoU, we anticipate not only significant advancements in the field of nano-medicine research but also a fortified relationship between our institutions. We look forward to further enriching opportunities for talent and research exchange.
