Young International Researchers Linked to iCONM Deliver Lectures

On March 5, Dr. Sayedeh Hoda Alavizdaeh, an associate professor at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Iran and currently working at Horacio Cabral Laboratory at the Graduate School of Engineering, University of Tokyo as a fellow of the Japan Association of University Women (JAUW), and Dr. Saed Abbasi, a former iCONM researcher and the lead in the iCONM promotional film, visited iCONM to give presentations.

Dr. Hoda shared insights from her recent papers on the development of nano-carrier linkers that leverage the property of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which are prevalent in the cancer microenvironment, to oxidatively cleave Se-Se bonds.

Dr. Abbasi discussed nano-carriers designed for targeted delivery to the endometrium, which holds promise for the treatment of endometriosis.
