若手研究者へのメッセージ

I started working for iCONM right after completing my Ph.D. in 2018. I felt welcomed and like a member of the family the moment I stepped foot in iCONM. iCONM is a truly exceptional research organization on many levels. It is resourceful, well-organized, and well-equipped with cutting-edge experimental facilities. Scientists can concentrate on performing their research in the best possible way, because everything else is taken care of. The management and administrative staff put in a lot of effort to give the researchers the right environment for success and creativity.
The chance to participate in numerous science communication projects and share our findings with the public, especially children, has been one of the major joys of my time at iCONM. I firmly think that change must begin with tiny steps, and I hope that by promoting science to young children, I will inspire them to pursue careers as scientists at a time when the world needs science more than ever to address issues related to health, aging, and climate change.

私は2018年に博士号を取得した後、すぐにiCONMで働き始めました。iCONMに足を踏み入れた瞬間、歓迎され、家族の一員のように感じました。iCONMは、多くのレベルで本当に優れた研究組織です。機知に富み、よく組織化され、最先端の実験設備が整っています。研究者たちは、最高の環境下で研究活動を行うことに集中できます。iCONMの研究推進スタッフと管理スタッフは、研究者達が成功を収め、新しいものを創造するために最適な環境を提供できるよう多くの努力を払っています。 数々の科学コミュニケーションプロジェクトに参加し、一般の人々、特に子どもたちと研究成果を共有する機会*を得たことは、iCONMでの生活の大きな喜びの一つです。健康、高齢化、気候変動などの課題に対処するため、世界がこれまで以上に科学を必要としている今、私は小さな一歩から変革を起こし始めなければならないと固く信じていますし、小さな子どもたちに科学を教えたことが、科学者としてのキャリアを目指すきっかけになればと願っています。
