    【Information】– Spin-out Research Derived from Project CHANGE – The Graduate School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo and Dai-ichi Life Holdings (HD) have collaboratively created a new social indicator called “SHIAWASEspan,” which measures the span of happiness, through the cooperation of AI and humans.
    This research aims to deepen people’s understanding of well-being, life design, and mental resilience by developing gamification content targeted at a wide range of people from elementary school students to adults. Its effectiveness will be evaluated together with citizens, including junior high and high school students, university students, and local community members.

    【Information】Takanori Ichiki, Project Leader, gave a presentation at the "Italy Innovation Day" held at the Embassy of Italy in Japan. This event aims to connect industrial technologies between Japan and Italy, contributing to the development of industries in both countries. The theme of this year’s event was “Health Tech.” Takanori Ichiki introduced Project CHANGE.

    【Information】A research team led by Professor Kanjiro Miyata of the Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo (Visiting Researcher at iCONM), together with the Kataoka and Kina Lab at iCONM, has developed nanomedicine that suppresses cancer metastasis and recurrence by accumulating antisense nucleic acids in lymph nodes.

    【Information】Center Director, Prof. Kazunori Kataoka Lectures at Collège de France

    On June 6, iCONM Center Director, Prof. Kazunori Kataoka delivered a lecture titled "Self-Assembling Polymer Nanosystems: Towards Clinical Translation of Smart Drug Delivery" at the Collège de France in Paris. The Collège de France, which originated from the Collège Royal founded by Francis I in 1530, is a prestigious research institution that continues to reign as a national institution of higher education at the pinnacle of scholarship and education in France.
